White River Electric Association held is 27th annual golf tournament last week and for the past few years they advertise it by parking their rebuilt 1956 International at the Meeker Golf Course. According to tournament organizer Dale Dunbar, the WREA purchased the truck new from Reg Nichols Sales and Service and used it as a line truck, one of the first with four-wheel drive. Dunbar said Bob Buckles purchased the truck when his company replaced it and used it as a hay truck for years. After Buckles died, the WREA was offered the truck back and Dunbar said the line crew rebuilt the truck, including the motor, to what it is today.
