RANGELY — It may be January, but baseball season is almost here. The sounds of the season can be heard already at the Early Education Center gym, where the Colorado Northwestern Community College team takes daily batting practice.

Rangely girls’ JV blasts West Grand 48-15
RANGELY — Last Saturday, the Rangely JV girls basketball team hosted West Grand and came away with a victory 48-15.
Panther boys pick up a pair
RANGELY — Another very busy week was on tap for the Panthers. Tuesday, the boys battled with Moffat County. The game was much closer than it should have been, with the Cats coming away with a 63-55 win.

Cowboys drop two duals, take fourth at league tournament
MEEKER — It was a tough week for the Meeker High School wrestling team and after losing big to Moffat County and Rifle, the Cowboys competed in the Northwest League tournament, where they finished fourth as a team.
Panthers finish second in Northwest League tourney
RANGELY — The Rangely wrestling team traveled to Kremmling last Saturday for the Northwest League tournament. The Panthers advanced eight into the championship round and five into the consolation championships.
