Dear Editor: On Saturday, the National Barrel Horse Association Colorado District 10 held two separate barrel races in Rangely at Columbine Park Arena. There were approximately 70 participants in both Race 1 and Race 2.
Death Notice: Rosemary Pryor La Grange
Born in Pueblo, Colo., where she grew up, Rosemary Pryor LaGrange died May 5, 2013. A memorial service will be held at St. James Episcopal Church, 368 4th St, in Meeker on Saturday June 1 at 11 a.m.
Students earn trip to visit Rifle Falls
RANGELY I Sixteen fifth-grade students earned a day trip to Rifle Falls and the Rifle Falls fish hatchery May 10 after demonstrating outstanding performance in the patrol incentive program begun by fifth-grade instructor Lisa Hanna last fall.
Brown, Collins win 2-man scramble
MEEKER I Local veteran golfers Erik Brown and Lex Collins defended their home course winning the annual 27-hole, two-man scramble at the Meeker Golf Course on Saturday. The tournament featured two flights and 19 pairs.
