MEEKER I For the past 29 years, the White River Electric Association has brought employees, friends and business associates together for a fun, yet competitive five-person scramble golf tournament at Meeker Golf Course each June. On Friday, two of the 14 teams held a putt-off to determine the winner.
The local team of Mindy Burke, Danny Garcia, Sam Hale, Todd Morris and Jason Purkey won the putt-off against Relda Coulter, Leif Joy and brothers Stan, Greg and Kirk Wyatt to take first-place honors.
Diana Crosthwaite, Luke Dolan, Tod Gould, Joe Michalewicz and Tom Tuley took third-place honors.

Michalewicz will start at WREA Aug. 1, and work in tandem with current general manager Dick Welle, until Welle retires Oct. 1, 2013.
