MEEKER I The Sheep and Goat Growers met June 16 at the Rio Blanco County Fairgrounds.
Members brought their sheep and goats and practiced showmanship. The leaders and the older kids helped the younger members.
Then the group had its meeting.
Group members will help clean up fireworks at 8 a.m. July 5 at the cemetery. The group made committees to plan sheep lead for the fair. The club has to donate $50 to the fair board to put sawdust in the show ring for the fair.
Club members will clean up the ring after the steer show.
The club broke even at the 4-H Carnival.
There is no pre-fair record book check this year.
The next meeting will be held July 14 at 7 p.m. at the fairgrounds.
