The line was not terrible, but the flow was consistently busy on Saturday morning during the annual 9Health Fair, held at Meeker Elementary School. Margie Joy, the Pioneers Medical Center public information officer and the Pioneers Healthcare Foundations’s executive director, said Monday that roughly 500 persons attended the fair for any number of reasons ranging from free basic health care screenings to low-cost blood tests for specific causes.
Dr. Cliff Chapin of Craig had his oxygen retention checked by Selina Pacheco, a Colorado Northwestern Community College dental hygiene student from Rangely at Saturday morning’s 9Health Fair at Meeker Elementary School. Both were in Meeker to assist with the health fair, which was sponsored by channel 9 in Denver, Pioneers Medical Center, the Rio Blanco Fire Protection District and the Meeker Lions Club. More than 500 persons joined in on the health fair.
