It was a busy week for Cowboy golf. Wednesday they were in Craig at the Yampa Valley Golf Course, turned around the next day to travel to Steamboat Springs and began the following school week with a dual at the Meeker Golf Course.
Athletic Director Klark Kindler traveled with the team last Wednesday as they competed in Craig at the Yampa Valley Golf Course for one of the first meets the entire team was able to attend. Results from Craig are: Peter Hanks (92), Elijah Deming (94), Phil Arnold (95), Nick Massey (101) Jose Garcia (109), Zagar Brown (117), Tanner Ridgeway (120) and Chakwa Brink (142)
As a team the boys placed well with the top three scores coming from Hanks, Deming, and Arnold.
Thursday in Steamboat Springs assistant coach Kyle Hooks led the varsity squad, placing 13th overall the scores were: Arnold (81), Hanks (95), Deming (99), Ridgeway (101), Massey (109)
There are two more regular season tournaments remaining on the books. Sept. 12, the team will compete at Cedaredge and then they will wrap-up regular season in Vail on Sept. 17. Regionals this year will be in Aspen a week after the regular season ends with the golfers trying for a place at state in October.
