A flock of flamingos have landed in Rangely area

RANGELY I The high winds at times helped their flight path but sometimes hindered their goal. A flock, or colony, of about 50 pink flamingos arrived in Rangely earlier this week. They chose Colorado Northwestern Community College’s Rangely campus as their initial landing site.
When they heard that the folks at the CNCC Foundation were trying to raise money for their 50th anniversary celebration, the helpful birds offered their aid. They will be splitting into separate colonies and alighting around town.
For those who would rather they not stay on their property, that’s OK. They’ll happily visit somewhere else for a fee, and you can choose the next landing site. Each subflock will have a leader that will have instructions for each surprised resident.
It is believed that at least three members of the visiting colony are the original settlers in Rangely. Flo, Frankie and Gracie are thought to be part of the group, but they haven’t yet been positively identified by the Rock Park Curators. Reports say that Mingo is still recuperating from injuries to his legs sustained on his first visit to Rangely.
