Accident takes life of Rangely man July 3

RANGELY | Tyrel Bosick, 21, was killed in a vehicle accident south of Rangely July 3.
The Colorado State Patrol Communications Center in Craig received a 911 call at approximately 7:30 a.m., July 3 regarding a possible fatal crash on Rio Blanco County Road 23, 3.3 miles south of Rangely.
“The S.O. (Rio Blanco County Sheriff’s Office), Rangely Fire and Rescue and an ambulance responded to the call and the Colorado State Patrol did the investigation,” RBC undersheriff Mike Joos said of the scene.
Joos said someone drove by and called in the accident, which may have been there for several hours.
According to a press release from the Colorado State Patrol, Tyrel Bosick of Rangely was identified as the driver of a 2005 Chevrolet 2500HD. According to the release, Bosick’s truck was southbound on RBC Road 23 when it drifted off the left side of the roadway, re-entered the roadway and overcorrected. The truck rotated counterclockwise off the left side of the road and rolled over two times. Bosick, the sole occupant of the truck, was ejected from the vehicle during the rollover and died from injuries at the scene.
According to the release, Bosick was not wearing a seatbelt at the time of the crash and while the cause of the crash is under investigation, it is suspected that excessive speed and alcohol use were contributing factors.
The Colorado State Patrol would like to remind motorists to wear their seatbelts and to not drink and drive.
