MEEKER I The annual Meeker After Birth Ball, held annually to commemorate the local calving and lambing season will be held Saturday night at the Freeman E. Fairfield Center, 200 E. Main in downtown Meeker.
Festivities will begin at 5:30 p.m. with a social hour and auction preview. The event is a fundraiser with auction proceeds going to support the Meeker High School chapter of Future Farmers of America and agricultural education.
There will be a live auction, a silent auction and an FFA hired hand auction.
Dinner will be served at 6:30 p.m., followed by the free dance, which begins at 9 p.m.
Dinner tickets are available through the Meeker Chamber of Commerce, McGuire Auto Parts, Valley Hardware and Flat Tops Fuel or they can be purchased at the door for $35 per adult or for $25 per child 12 and under. There will also be a cash bar available.
The live entertainment will be by the Harris and Lee Band
