MEEKER — The traditional Halloween parade at the Walbridge Wing will take place at an earlier time this year, between 3:30-5 p.m. on Oct. 31.
“Every Halloween our residents enjoy handing out treats to the children in our community,” said Jean Gianinetti, activities director. “Halloween falls on a Friday, and there is no school that day, so we are thinking it would be nice if we had our parade up here early, then the children could head down to the community event.”
Donations of candy are also requested.
“I am pleased that our community is working to have a fun, family Halloween downtown,” Gianinetti said. “I am just trying to get the kids to come up a little early, so we can enjoy them also.”
