Archery comes to RE-4…

Through a partnership with the National Archery in the Schools Program (NASP) and Colorado Parks and Wildlife (CPW), Rangely School District RE-4 is taking archery into the school gymnasium. CPW is the local sponsor of NASP, an archery program designed specifically for physical education teachers of fourth-12th grade students. Both Beth Scoggins and Jeremy Cantrell have been trained through the partnership as archery instructors and they are able to promote student interest and skills development in Olympic-style target archery and encourage outdoor recreation activities. Rangely is one of more than 100 schools statewide participating in the program and received the equipment through a grant.
