MEEKER — Darrell and Angie Arnold of Meeker are this week’s “home of” honorees. Darrell is a Meeker native. His parents are the late Cliff and Helen Arnold. Angie moved to Meeker in 1974.
Darrell is a dragline operator at Rio Tinto Energy America’s ColoWyo Coal Mine. Angie works for Meeker Video.
The Arnolds have two sons, Raye Arnold of Meeker and Lee Arnold of Longmont. They also have eight dogs and 13 cats.
In their spare time, Darrell enjoys roping and Angie likes gardening and being with her dogs and animals. Angie was a 4-H dog obedience leader for seven years.
When asked what she enjoys most about Meeker, Angie replied, “I like it because I know everybody and can talk to everybody. It’s quiet and calm and I love the small town atmosphere.”
