Meeker Fire District donates $80,000 fire alarm system to Barone school
MEEKER I On Aug. 13, the Meeker Fire District board voted unanimously to donate up to $80,000 to Barone Middle School to cover the cost of an all-new and much-needed fire alarm system.

Early season hunters warned of horse roundups in western RBC
RBC I Muzzleloader and archery hunters heading to Game Management Unit 21, located south of Rangely and west of Highway 139, are advised that the Bureau of Land Management will conduct excess horse gather operations in the area beginning Sept. 14, coinciding with the start of the early hunting seasons.
