MEEKER I All the sixth graders from Barone Middle School in Meeker went to the annual bonding and teamwork camp at Snow Mountain Ranch near Tabernash, Colo., last week.
While at the camp, the school posted on their Facebook page that “The sixth graders are sure having fun at Snow Mountain Ranch. What a great trip and a great group of students. Not only are the students enjoying their activities like the zip line and the tubing hill, they are really coming together as a class.
“The teamwork and cooperation has grown exponentially over the past 36 or so hours and the students really seem to be embracing the change. Today, beyond the many activities planned, they are trying to learn how to be observers and see how their classmates take care of one another. Thank you to all who helped make this trip possible. As with our seventh and eighth graders, they are quickly learning what it means to believe in respect and responsibility for all, from all.”
