Barone wrestlers second in Oak Creek

The Barone Middle School wrestling team finished second in Oak Creek over the past weekend and the members will wrestle for the Northwest Colorado League title on Saturday in Rangely, where wrestling will start at 9 a.m.

MEEKER I The Barone Middle School wrestling team finished second again, this time in Oak Creek, placing 10 Cowboys in the top four, including three champions.

The young Cowboys will wrestle in the Northwest Colorado League Tournament this Saturday in Rangely.
Eighth-grader Tevin Pelloni remains undefeated after winning another gold medal, as did teammates Jake Shelton and Ridge Williams.
Cole Rogers, Elijah Deming and Kesston Hobbs all wrestled in the championship match and finished as runners-up.
Charles Curry, Tucker Ercanbrack and Ryan Phelan all finished as consolation champs, and Colby Clatterbaugh placed fourth.
Phil Arnold, Nick Massey, Carter Strate, Chris Harris, Dax Sheridan and Caleb Hall wrestled but did not place.
The annual league tournament will start at 9 a.m.
