Hunter Garcia and Codee Woodward were the winners of Yeti coolers, along with shirts and hats from Strawberry Creek Outfitters, sponsors of the Big Buck and Bull contest at Barone Middle School. BMS teacher Zach Clatterbaugh used the Boone and Crockett scoring method to give Garcia’s elk antlers a score of 231, highest of the three entries. Woodward’s deer scored 160, highest of six entries in the annual contest. Clatterbaugh was impressed that Garcia used a bow to harvest his elk.
