RBC I Business and community leaders looking to revitalize their community and strengthen their businesses won’t want to miss an upcoming seminar titled “Once Optional, Now Required: The New Rules of Small Business Success” by Jon Schallert in Meeker and Rangely.
Schallert is an internationally recognized speaker and business expert specializing in teaching businesses and communities to turn themselves into “Consumer Destinations.” Schallert will be speaking at the Rangely Automotive Museum, 128 Stanolind Ave., on June 28 from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. with lunch provided. He will also be speaking at the Freeman E. Fairfield Center, 200 Main St. in Meeker on June 29 from 8 a.m. to 10 a.m. with breakfast provided.
Rio Blanco County, Town of Rangely, Town of Meeker, Meeker Chamber of Commerce, Rangely Chamber of Commerce, Mountain Valley Bank, Tri-State Generation and Transmission Association Inc. and Colowyo Coal Co. are excited to bring Schallert to speak in Northwest Colorado. Recently, 12 business owners from Rio Blanco County attended his Destination BootCamp in Longmont (jonschallert.com/bootcamp/).
The Destination BootCamp is an intense training for business owners who want to accelerate their learning curve, receive in-depth instruction, strategies and specific tactics to become a dominant “Destination Business” that can pull consumers past their competitors.
In 1996, Schallert left his successful career at Hallmark Cards and started his consulting firm, The Schallert Group, Inc. He began speaking to small business owners in cities, downtowns and communities (both rural and urban) around the country. In his first year, he spoke in 87 different towns and cities, and in each place, Jon would consult with 10-15 small business owners in their stores, restaurants and offices.
After years of maintaining this schedule, annually conducting thousands of on-site consultations and studying the most successful small business owners, he developed the proprietary “14-step Destination Business” process that he teaches today.
Some of Schallert’s corporate consulting clients include Kellogg’s, KitchenAid, Bank of America, Denver International Airport, Jiffy Lube, Ace Hardware, Anheuser Busch, Kichler Lighting and Hunter Douglas, to name a few. His insights are frequently seen in national publications such as The Wall Street Journal, The Washington Post, USA Today and Entrepreneur Magazine.
Tickets to attend this seminar are offered through the Meeker and Rangely Chambers of Commerce. Chamber members can purchase event tickets for $15; non-chamber members for $20.
