MEEKER I Barone Middle School seventh-grader Tristin Pelloni finished fifth at the Colorado State Middle School wrestling tournament last weekend in Denver. A total of nine BMS wrestlers qualified for the state tournament but only six made the trip and Pelloni was the only placer for the Cowboys.

Weather ends first track meet of year
MEEKER I It was a track meet. Almost. Meeker High School’s track team competed in its first meet of the season Saturday at West Grand Invitational in Kremmling. However, the meet was called because of weather, before the final events were completed.

Meeker peewees crown seven champs at Craig
MEEKER I Thirty-two peewee wrestlers from Meeker competed in the Craig tournament Saturday and 23 placed in the top four, including seven champions. Brothers Kelton and Casey Turner, Tannen Kennedy, Wyatt Pfau, Jake Shelton, Colton Wille and Cody Nielsen all won their respective brackets.
