This was sent to me from my niece. I read the article from Jeff Burkhead about illegal immigrants in Arizona. Maybe he should move to Arizona so he can get a first-hand look at the many problems these unwanted illegal immigrants are bringing into our country.
Letters To The Editor
Letter: Scout thankful for support on project
Thank you for spending your time, efforts, and money to assist me in my Eagle Scout project. It was a large project and I couldn’t have done it without all of your help.
Letter: Fifth-graders thank event presenters
Our class just recently attended the outstanding “Right in your own Backyard” event to raise awareness of our area. We want to thank all the groups who came to provide information.
Letter: Rare birds disappear from Rangely home
Police need your help in solving the mysterious disappearance of four of Rangely’s newest community members: Flo, Mingo, Frankie and Gracie. These four individuals, after carefully considering many other communities, recently decided to make Rangely their permanent home. This small and welcoming community, with a sign reading “Rangely — A[Read More…]
Letter: Writer looking for birth information
I was born in Meeker, Colo., in 1975. I was given up for adoption. My mom was 14 years old when she had me. My dad was 19 at the time. They gave me to a Mormon adoption agency.
Letter: Reader frustrated by Congressman’s letter
Proof for an exercise in futility often requires making the effort to actually experience it. Recently, I wrote to my 3rd Congressional District Representative as a “concerned constituent,” merely asking why he voted for health-care reform. Substance for my inquiry was as follows:

Letter: Tea Party wants to restore accountability
There were two letters to the editor in the May 27 Herald Times that particularly caught my eye. The first letter concerning the Tea Party asked questions that, in my opinion, the author knew the answers, but in the interest of extolling the party line feigned ignorance.
Letter: Mrs. Colorado reports on trip to Honduras
Thank you so much for your prayers and support for my recent trip to Tegucigalpa, Honduras. It is difficult to put into words the impact that this place has had on my life. I had heard about the poverty and needs of the people there, but experiencing it up close[Read More…]
Letter: Rio Blanco County Fair will be here soon
With flowers blooming, garden vegetables being planted, and kids working with their 4-H projects, we know (or hope) that summertime is just around the corner. The Rio Blanco County Fair Board works hard every year to plan a wonderful community event, the Rio Blanco County Fair.
Letter: Immigration fight should be about law
There has been quite the debate amongst a lot of people regarding the new Arizona Immigration Bill 1070. With all media fervor and political rhetoric aside, what does U.S. Code Title 8, Section 1325 say?
Letter: How much control for local governments?
Lately, many questions have been going through my head about whether our local governments have gone out of control. Are they taking too much control over our personal lives and property? Why is the town of Meeker threatening to put someone in jail for creating an inventive advertisement?
