Sportsmen urge BLM to use caution
RBC I As federal officials consider how to move forward on oil shale development, a sportsmen’s coalition is urging caution because no proven technology exists and the impacts on the West’s public lands, fish, wildlife, water and air quality are unknown.
Speak out on countywide recycling
RBC I Some county residents take their recycling to Grand Junction or Rifle. Others drop off cans, paper and cardboard in Meeker at the town’s recycle drop-off center. Rangely currently has no recycling program.
Host 4H families needed
RBC I Host families are needed for 65 inbound Japanese boys and girls, ages 12-21, coming to Colorado through the 2012 inbound Colorado-Japan Teen Exchange. Hosting dates are July 23-Aug. 18 or July 25-Aug. 18.
