MEEKER I The Meeker Cowboys boys’ basketball team is beginning its season with the consistency of coaches and two strong senior leaders.

The Rangely Middle School cheerleaders Bailey Stephens, Twila Jackson, KK Wyman, Susie Gillard and Tiffany Holmes, have been cheering their teams this season and will continue to lead the spirit at the annual middle school district basketball tournament Saturday in Meeker.
MHS well represented at CCGS All-State volleyball
MEEKER I Meeker was well represented at the Colorado Coaches of Girls Sports All-State Games last weekend in Denver. MHS volleyball coach Christy Atwood was asked to coach the 2A Red Team and Meeker seniors Aly Ridings and Piper Haney were members of the team.

The Future Farmers of America chapter at Rangely Junior/Senior High School put on a donkey basketball game recently to raise funds for the chapter’s summer programs and travel expenses. MEEKER I The Meeker High School girl’s basketball team is taking the court this year with great expectations and a great deal of experience returning from a team that played in last year’s regional championship game.

More than 25 Meeker Elementary School kids, parents, family members and even pets showed up Saturday to run/walk a 5K, as part of MES teacher Vicky Tate’s physical education class and 100 Mile Club program.
