Meeker

Chamber’s January members of the month

MEEKER I The Meeker Chamber of Commerce would like to recognize three chamber members for the month of January: Cook Chevrolet and Subaru, Roni Bibb’s Promotional Advertising Store and Rambullinn Bed and Breakfast.
Cook Chevrolet and Subaru has been servicing Northwest Colorado for more than 47 years. Cook has locations in Craig and Steamboat Springs. Cook Chevrolet is a local, family owned and operated business, with sales and service facilities in both locations. They also handle auto leasing options, a body shop, repair and parts department in Craig and offer Avis truck rentals and AAA towing. Cook Chevrolet is proud of the skills and experience their employees offer the public and pride themselves on their ability and focus to satisfy customers before and after the sale! For more information, visit www.cookchevrolet.com, call 970-824-2205 or visit their showroom at 1776 West Victory Way in Craig.
Roni Bibb has always been an entrepreneur. After being laid off in February this past year and finding no options for employment in this economy, to fulfill her need to volunteer and participate in fundraisers around Colorado she created several businesses. Over the past year she has really expanded her entrepreneurial spirit, and is operating three home-based businesses.
Her newest venture, Promotional Advertising Store, provides more than 300,000 promotional and customized products for businesses, groups, nonprofit organization or special events. Customers order their products online, Bibb searches for the best price and ensures the logo and customization is correct and the products are shipped directly to the customer. It is great to have a promotional product business in Meeker and hopefully locally-owned businesses can take advantage of Bibb’s great pricing and products. To learn more, visit www.promotionaladvertisingstore.com.
Bibb has also expanded her business efforts with Crafty Boutique and Pageant Gown Bags. Crafty Boutique offers one-of-a-kind hats, scarves and jewelry pieces.  As these unique art pieces become available, you can find them on Facebook in the near future, in a retail store here in Meeker, or you can send an email request to [email protected]. Pageant Gown Bags is an online venture which provides personalized embroidery and Swarovski crystal embellishments to 72” garment bags providing “confidence in knowing your gown is protected” for your evening gowns, wedding gowns, bridesmaids dresses or prom formals. Roni utilizes a variety of textiles and techniques to ensure you have a beautiful item to last a lifetime. Her bags and accessories are made or customized here in Meeker.  You can find and purchase gown bags online at www.pageantgownbags.com. For more information, or to place your order, contact Roni at 970-878-3319 or email [email protected].
Any visitor who stays with Gus and Christine Halandras at the Rambullinn Bed and Breakfast always sings the same praises. Great food, great accommodations and great company! This “home away from home” for travelers features gourmet breakfasts and all the amenities one could desire. For more than 25 years the Halandras’ have hosted a multitude of visitors and have provided their expert catering services at many community events. Everyone loves their traditional Greek lamb cooking and knows the gourmet food at their special event will be done with taste and class!
The Halandrases experienced an interesting start to their business. It is said that to succeed in business you must have a deep passion for what you do. Gus and Christine were taking in hunters and visitors for special events long before they began officially operating as the Rambullinn Bed and Breakfast. They liked to help friends and family provide food at weddings and family functions and this eventually turned into a thriving business. As Christine says, “God must have intended for us to do this!”
Gus and Christine have strong roots in this community and have been influential in the American Sheep Producers Council mission to promote eating lamb. They have traveled far and wide on this mission and Christine is a field editor for the Taste of Home cookbook collection. One of their largest contributions to the community is centered around an annual event in September. The Meeker Classic Sheepdog Trials will be celebrating its 26th year in 2012, and Gus and Christine are instrumental in that event’s success. Over the past 26 years, Gus has become “the Godfather” and Christine “Ya ya” to this event, and they believed whole-heartedly in the good this event would do for the whole community. To say the Halandras’ are community supporters is an understatement.
Gus and Christine would like to thank their loyal customers who have believed and supported their endeavors over the years. For more information on booking a room in their bed and breakfast, call 970-878-5483, or email [email protected].
