phMKChamberJones,MagicianMike Jones of Meeker Drug had a difficult time following magician Keir Royale during the entertainment following the Meeker Area Chamber of Commerce Annual Dinner on Friday night at the Fairfield Center. Top citizen and business awards of the year were presented as well. Roughly 100 people attended the dinner, awards, the ‘Tour of Meeker’ game and audience participation with magician Royale.

phMKChamberWelles,SizemoresKathy and Mike Sizemore were presented with the award for Meeker Non-Profit Group of the Year for establishing and three years of running the annual “I Ride with James” Snowmobile and Poker Run benefit each February in memory of their son, James, who was killed in an avalanche in February 2011. With the plaque signifying the honor are, from left, Jake Welle, Abby Welle, Kathy Sizemore and Mike Sizemore. Funds from the run support two scholarships at Meeker High School and benefit search and rescue.

phMKChamberCitizenGianettiMore than 100 attendees at the Meeker Area Chamber of Commerce annual dinner on Friday night watched as Meeker’s Jean Gianinetti was presented with the Citizen of the Year Award. Gianinetti works at the Walbridge Wing and is always there when needed to lend a soft shoulder and a caring ear.

phmkchamber duceysBryce Ducey (left) accepted the Meeker Area Chamber of Commerce award for Large Business of the Year on Friday night at the annual chamber dinner on behalf of Ducey Electric and the Ducey family. The dinner brought out 100 local and area business people to the Fairfield Center for good food, friendly awards and audience participation with magician Keir Royale.

phmkchamber sheltonsRobert and JaNae Shelton, owners of Shelton Welding Service LLC, were presented with the Meeker Energy Industry Partner of the Year award by the Meeker Area Chamber of Commerce at the chamber’s annual dinner on Friday night. The Sheltons were honored for their unflagging support for local children, students and athletics.

phMKChamberLeifJoySpeakingLeif Joy, president of the board of the Meeker Area Chamber of Commerce, welcomed roughly 100 local and area business men and women to the annual chamber meeting Friday night at the Fairfield Center. Joy spoke of his hopes for the chamber and how the chamber wants to do more for area businesses in an effort to foster growth.
