Charity for Hoops…

Twins Krissie and Kassie Luce, along with Megan Shelton, center photo, and Kenzie Turner won the 7th-8th-grade division.

Ten teams entered the fifth annual Charity for Hoops, 3 on 3 basketball tournament, sponsored by the ERBM Recreation and Parks District and played at Meeker High School on the last day of Christmas vacation. Named Team Attack, twins Vivian and Wagner Brown, along with Emma Luce, won the young girls’ division.

 The best boys’ team was the Dynamic Dudes, consisting of Cale Burke, Gavin Garr, Brennan Jensen and Steven Walsh. Local charities like the Meeker Animal Shelter, Meals on Wheels, the Lions Club and the MHS Scholarship fund benefited from the tournament.
