Children’s health fairs set in RBC

RBC I Meeker and Rangely will hold their Children’s Health Fair events on different weekends at the beginning of April.
The annual fair and preschool registration for children from birth to age five who are not already enrolled in preschool or kindergarten will be held in Rangely on April 1-2 at the Early Education Center and in Meeker on April 8-9 at the Freeman E. Fairfield Center.

The fairs are sponsored by Rio Blanco County Public Health and Environmental Services, which will conduct vision screenings and height and weight checks. The agency will also work with the local school nurse to complete hearing screenings.
The agency will also the children’s immunization record and determine if immunizations are needed, then send a reminder about the immunizations.
Officials at county Public Health and Environmental Services urges all county parents to bring young children to the health fair for screenings, parent education and fun for all.
