MEEKER — No, it won’t be trick-or-treaters going to door to door today, it will be members of Citizens for Meeker Schools.
“We want to let people know we will be knocking on their door,” said Margie Joy, a member of the group. “We will do neighborhood walks to share information about the school initiative. We will be canvassing the whole town.”
The Meeker School District will have a $24 million bond issue on the Nov. 4 ballot to build a new elementary school and make improvements at the high school and middle school.
The citizens group will start knocking on doors at 4:30 p.m. today.
