LOOKING FOR LOVING HOME Hagen is a 6 year old neutered Border Collie/Blue Merrill mix. We have had him as a delightful addition to our family since he was a pup. He prefers the outdoors but sleeps inside at night. He is not a barker, listens and obeys well. He is a large dog. He likes having a friend. He does not travel well. He loves playing soccer and is quite good. He smiles and loves to be petted!! He has a very gentle nature and gets along well with other animals. What a personality. He sees you coming and starts wagging his whole body, smiling & snort-sneezing. We love him very much and hope to find someone who will love him just as much!! Jack is a 10 year old neutered Border Collie. I have been very luck to have him as my best friend for over 8 years. Finding a loving family for Jack is of extreme importance to me. He is a small border collie, a wonderful companion. Very handsome! He is a barker, not a biter. Jack prefers to be indoors or wherever his loving human is. He is afraid of loud noises like guns, yelling and fireworks, a little scaredy cat. He likes to play fetch and rompin the sprinkler. He sleeps on my bed. Don’t know how I am going to get along without him, will be a little easier knowing he is going to be loved by his new family. These are 2 of the very best friends I have ever had! This is not something that I want to do but rather I have no choice. I am looking for the right person/people/family to love these guys. ORDINANCE NO. 3 Series 2010 – AN ORDINANCE APPROVING THE REZONING OF A CERTAIN PARCEL OF LAND OWNED BY THE TOWN OF MEEKER, DESCRIBED AS PARCEL B OF THE ESCONDIDO SUBDIVISION. WHEREAS, the Town of Meeker, isthe sole owner of a certain parcel of real property situate, lying, and being in the Town of Meeker, County of Rio Blanco and State of Colorado, described as follows: Parcel B, as shown on the Final Plat of the Escondido Subdivision, filed for recording in the office of the Rio Blanco County Clerk and Recorder, on March 4, 2009, as Reception No. 295158, (hereinafter “Parcel B”); and, WHEREAS, the Town of Meeker Board of Trustees Board, the “Town Board”, passed, adopted and approved a Motion Approving the Escondido Subdivision Final Plat, which, in part, provided for the dedication of Parcel B to the Town of Meeker to “serve the Town’s interest by providing a buffer and a protection area for the Town’s two existing water tanks, located adjacent to the Subdivision”; and, WHEREAS, at the time the Town of Meeker acquired all rights, title, and interest in and to Parcel B, it had been given a zone district designation of RR Rural Residential District by virtue of the approval of the Escondido Subdivision final plat by the Town Board; and, WHEREAS, the Town Board determined to request the rezoning of Parcel B from its current zone district designation of RR Rural Residential to Open District, because of the suitability of the site to the uses established thereon, which are consistent with the uses allowed in the Open District, to-wit: municipal water storage facilities and public uses; and, WHEREAS, a public hearing was held on February 16, 2010 before the Town Board at its regular meeting at the Meeker Town Hall, 345 Market Street, to which public hearing, public notice was duly given in the Rio Blanco Herald Times newspaper; and, WHEREAS, the Town Board was informed by the Town planner that the Town Planning Commission, pursuant to a public hearing, has recommended to the Town Board that it approve the request to rezone Parcel B from RR Rural Residential to Open District, based upon the above stated reasons; and, WHEREAS, the public was, at such public hearing, given the opportunity to voice its opinions regarding the proposed rezoning of Parcel B, which opinions have been given full consideration by the Town Board; and, WHEREAS, the Town Board on the basis of the evidence produced at the public hearing finds that Parcel B was acquired by the Town to serve as a buffer and protection area around the Town’s two water tank sites located on property adjacent to Parcel B; that said water tank sites have been zoned Open District, pursuant to Ordinance 2, Series 2010; that such rezoning complies with the ordinances of the Town of Meeker; and, that it would be appropriate and in the best interest of the health, safety, and welfare of the Town to rezone Parcel B to the Open District zoning designation.
