ORDINANCE NO. 4 Series 2010 AN ORDINANCE OF THE TOWN OF MEEKER APROVING AND ADOPTING THE 2010 “ZONING DISTRICT MAP” FOR THE TOWN OF MEEKER – WHEREAS, the Town of Meeker (the “Town”) is authorized to adopt an official Zoning District map for the Town, the most recent, dated July, 2001; and, WHEREAS, the Town planner recommended to the Town Board of Trustees (the “Town Board”) that it consider undertaking a revision to update the current Town Zoning District Map (Official Map) to include: changes in the Town’s boundary due to additions of various parcels of land annexed to the Town; changes to parcels of land by approved subdivisions, minor subdivisions, lot line adjustments, and lot line consolidations; and changes to zone district designations previously approved by Town ordinances; and, WHEREAS, the Town planner, also, recommended to the Town Board that the current Zoning District Map (Official map) be revised in order to take advantage of advancements in GIS technology to create a new map, using a format which could be updated and revised by the Town planner, in the future; and, WHEREAS, the Town engaged JSC, Inc. to produce the revised official map and the completed revised map has been presented to the Town; and, WHEREAS, the Town planner informed the Town Board that the revised official map has been produced in conformity with the Town’s agreement with JSC, Inc. and recommended to the Town Board that it consider approving and adopting the map as the 2010 Town of Meeker Zoning District Map; and, WHEREAS, a public hearing was held on June 15, 2010, at a regular Town Board meeting at Town Hall, 345 Market Street, Meeker, Colorado, to which hearing public notice was given in the Rio Blanco Herald Times Newspaper, published on June 10, 2010; and, WHEREAS, the Town Board on the basis of the evidence produced at the public hearing finds that the proposed 2010 Town of Meeker official map complies with the Town ordinances and the state law and that it would be in the best interests of the Town to approve and adopt said map so that the changes due to annexations, subdivisions and other Town land use processes, and zone district designations are placed on the Town’s official map.
