BID SUBMITTALS
Bids shall have Vendor’s name and address and “2016 RED WASH PIT CRUSHING” written on the sealed envelope. All required documents shall be included with the bid or it shall be rejected. Each bid must include a certified check or cashier’s check in the amount of not less than five percent (5%) of the total bid, made payable to Rio Blanco County, or by a bid bond in like amount executed by a surety company. Mailed bids are due no later than 4:00 P.M. on Friday, June 10, 2016. Do not depend on overnight delivery. Hand delivered bids will be accepted from 8:00 A.M. to 10:45 A.M. on June 13, 2016. BID OPENING
Bids shall be opened and read in public at 11:15 A.M. on Monday, June 13, 2016 at the RBC Justice Center, Courtroom A, 455 Main St., Meeker, CO. Bids submitted after 10:45 A.M. shall be returned unopened. Bids submitted and opened shall not be withdrawn for 30 days thereafter.
BID PREFERENCE
C.R.S. 8-19-101, et. seq, shall be observed on all construction contracts on public projects. The law states that when a construction contract for a public project is to be awarded to a bidder, a resident bidder shall be allowed preference against a nonresident bidder from another state equal to the preference given or required by the state in which the nonresident bidder is a resident.

The Rio Blanco County Board of County Commissioners reserve the right to reject any or all bids; to waive any informalities in bids; and to accept the bid that, in the opinion of the Board, is in the best interest of the County of Rio Blanco, State of Colorado.

PRIMARY BY MAIL BALLOT: Mail ballots for the upcoming June 28, 2016 Primary Election are scheduled to be mailed the week of June 7th. County voters affiliated with a party participating in the Primary Election (Republican or Democratic) as of Friday, May 27th, will automatically receive their ballot in the mail.
BALLOT ADDRESS: Mail ballots cannot be forwarded. If you have changed your residence and/or mailing address, please contact the county clerk office for a change form or change your address online at www.govotecolorado.com. If you will be absent during the time mail ballots are scheduled for mailing (June 7-10), please change your ballot mailing address by May 27th. Make changes online at www.govotecolorado.com or at one of the County Clerk offices.
PARTY AFFILIATION: Voters registered in Colorado with a party as of Friday, May 27th, must vote the ballot of their registered party affiliation. Friday, May 27th is the last day to change party affiliation. Unaffiliated voters and new registrants may affiliate with a party participating in the Primary Election and receive a mail ballot at any time, up to and including Election Day by appearing at the County Clerk’s office and completing a change form.
REGISTER TO VOTE: Any person desiring to register to vote must be a U.S. citizen and a resident of Colorado for 22 days. June 20th is the last day for an individual to submit a voter registration application and still receive a ballot in the mail. After that you must pick up your ballot at one of the clerk offices. In-person voter registration is available at the County Clerk offices in Meeker (1032 Jennifer Drive) and Rangely (17497 Hwy 64) up to, and including, Election Day, June 28th.
