RIO BLANCO COUNTY CR 5/CR 20 Intersection With Livestock Underpass Construction Project
REQUEST FOR BID
PROJECT NAME AND LOCATION: CR 5/CR20 Intersection with Livestock Underpass Construction Project is located on Rio Blanco County Road 5, Piceance Creek Road between mile posts 36.27 and 36.95 which is approx. 23 miles southwest of Meeker. Construction will take place entirely within Rio Blanco County right-of-way. The purpose of the project is to replace a deficient structure and improve safety at the intersection. Colorado State Dept. of Local Affairs is providing 50% funding through an energy impact grant.

INVITATION TO BID
You are hereby invited to bid for the construction of the 1st Street & Market Street Water Line Project: for the Town of Meeker. This project includes the construction of approximately 1,000 linear feet of water line and installation of appurtenant equipment. The project is located on 1st Street from Market Street to Main Street and on Market Street from Joslin Lane to the east tee beneath Market Street. The Project Owner is the Town of Meeker. The Project Engineer is Chris Hale, P.E. of Mountain Cross Engineering, Inc. in Glenwood Springs. A complete set of plans, specifications and contract documents may be obtained after May 27th, 2015 from the offices of Mountain Cross Engineering, Inc. (970-945-5544) or at the Meeker Town Hall (970-878-5344) for a deposit of $35. The deposit will be refunded if the set is returned in good condition. A mandatory pre-bid meeting will be held at the Meeker Town Hall, 345 Market Street, on Wednesday, June 3rd, 2015, at 10:00 a.m. Send or deliver the Bid Proposals to Meeker Town Hall, 345 Market Street, Meeker, CO 81641 by 3:00 p.m., Friday, June 12th, 2015. Each bid must be accompanied by a bid bond or a check in the amount of 10% of the bid made payable to The Town of Meeker as bid security, along with 3 references for similar work. The Bid Proposals and Bid Security should be placed in an envelope, securely sealed and labeled “Bid for Water Line Project”. Plans, specifications and contract documents should be returned with the bid. Performance and Payment Bonds are required. The Town reserves the right to reject any and all bids; to change, add, or amend the specifications; to waive any informalities; and the right to disregard all non-conforming or conditional bids or counter proposals. Each proposal shall be reviewed and considered consistent with the provisions of the Town of Meeker Personnel Policy and Procedure Manual, including but not limited to the Contract-Award-Preference section, which is incorporated herein by this reference and made a part of this “Invitation to Bid.” Contact Russ Overton with the Town of Meeker 970-878-5530 for additional information or with any questions regarding this project.
