2016 RED WASH CRUSHING PROJECT
NOTICE is hereby given that on the 12th day of December, 2016 at Meeker, Colorado, final settlement will be authorized by the Rio Blanco County Board of County Commissioners with Precision Excavating of 1545 West Jefferson, Hayden, CO 81639 for all work done by said CONTRACTOR on the project known as 2016 Red Wash Crushing Project.
1)Any person, co-partnership, association, or corporation who has an unpaid claim against the said project may at any time, up to and including the date specified in item 2 below, file a VERIFIED STATEMENT of the amount due and unpaid on account of such claims.
2)All such claims shall be filed with Van Pilaud, County Engineer, Rio Blanco County Road & Bridge Department, 570 2nd Street, Meeker, Colorado 81641 on or before December 1, 2016.
3)Failure on the part of a creditor to file such a statement will relieve Rio Blanco County from any and all liability for such claim.

The Board of Directors of Eastern Rio Blanco County 911 Emergency Telephone Service are pleased to submit the Year 2017 budget for the public’s review.
The Year 2017 Eastern Rio Blanco County 911 Emergency telephone Service Budget was prepared using the modified accrual basis of accounting. Following the budget is a schedule showing the adjustments that are necessary for the reconciliation of budgeted fund balance to the retained earnings, which were determined with the full accrual basis of accounting that was used in preparation of the actual 2016 financial statements.
The primary services that will be provided during the 2017 calendar year are described in the attached Mission Statement.
Some of the important features of the Year 2017 Eastern Rio Blanco County 911 Emergency Telephone Service Budget are:
1.The budget was prepared as a financial plan that is in full compliance with all applicable statutes.
2.Colorado Revised Statutes 29-11-101 et. Seq. will be followed.
3.The purpose of this budget is to provide a financial plan that will insure the public with all the services and programs that are included herein. The primary emphasis of the plan is to provide the essential 911 Emergency Telephone Services that are needed by the citizens of Eastern Rio Blanco County, Colorado.
With every dollar spent, it is the sincere intent of the Board to provide the citizens of Eastern Rio Blanco County with the highest level of 911 emergency telephone services possible.

The picture shown was taken yesterday by Mary Meinen from Rangely. She says the crickets are about the size of a ladybug (less than 1/2”). Some of them are actually yellow in color but most of them are darker. They are milling around and getting ready to start moving soon. Note: Photo is not to scale.

The success of the program will highly depend upon local landowners and the public helping to locate crickets as soon as they hatch. Black Sulphur Tavern held a grand opening and ribbon cutting for their new business at 364 Seventh St. The space has been renovated with several TVs and games and provides a fun, friendly atmosphere to watch your favorite sports team and enjoy a burger and wings. Owners Frank Maestas and Pat Maestas are pictured with their new staff and Chamber of Commerce representatives Stephanie Hanson, Trudy Burri and Margie Joy. Follow Black Sulphur Tavern on Facebook. Their hours are Wednesday and Thursday 3-9 p.m., Friday 3 p.m. - 1 a.m., Saturday 11-1 a.m., Sunday 11 a.m. to midnight.

The winning teams and individuals for the 18th annual White River Community Association Buy-Fly Fishing Tournament are as follows. Individual top weight catch was Dave Metrovich and longest fish was Kevin Massey. First place team won by Rio Blanco Abstract: Erik Eckman, Adam Parrett, Dave Metrovich and Wayne Kirkpatrick. Second place team was Drake Consulting: Travis Kaiser, John Douglas, Tony Bartolomucci and Bob Brandeberry. Third place team Mr. Rogers and the Hood (accepted by Doug Rogers) Gary Rogers, Mark Beauchamp, Kyle Schutte and Rick Gunter. The white fish have been frozen and will be served at the annual White River Community Association fish fry fundraiser in June.
