RANGELY — The Rangely
Rough Riders 4-H Horse Club
had their first meeting at
Rangely Middle School. We
elected officers for the year and
discussed what our goals are.
We also played a game of labeling
different parts of western
and English tack.
The club had a riding meeting
April 11 at Columbine Park.
Since this was our first riding
meeting, we trotted around a
little bit to see how our horses
acted around each other. Katye
Allred, Justyne Dembowski and
Briana Bromley attended this
meeting.
Our club also met April 15 at
the Rangely Middle School. We
talked about community service
projects we could do. These will
include painting the bleachers
at Columbine Park May 17 and
trash clean up on Highway 139
April 22.
We quizzed each other on
some questions to prepare for
level testing. We planned our
future riding meetings for May,
which will be on Fridays at 5
p.m. at Columbine Park. Katye
Allred, Justyne Dembowski,
Shelby Neiberger and Briana
Bromley attended
