Comments sought on Milk Creek allotments

RBC — The USDA Forest Service is seeking comments concerning a proposal to reissue the term grazing permit on the Milk Creek domestic sheep grazing allotment.
The action proposed, and this analysis, will enable the Forest Service to comply with the Rescission Bill (Section 504 of Public Law 104-19, signed July 7, 1995) that directed the Forest Service to complete National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA) analysis prior to the re-issuance of grazing permits.
The Milk Creek grazing allotment is located in the northern portion of the Blanco Ranger District on the White River National Forest, with the general land description of Township 2 North, Range 91 West, Sections 13, 14, 15, 16, 17, 21, 22, 23, 24. The Dickerville Unit of the Milk Creek grazing allotment is separate from the main allotment, with the general land description of Township 2 North, Range 92 West, Sections 34 and 35, and Township 1 North, Range 92 West, Sections 1, 2 and 3.
The purpose of this comment period is to provide an opportunity for the public to provide early and meaningful participation on a proposed action prior to a decision being made by the responsible official, Glenn Adams, Blanco District ranger.
