• Winter Blast at Paintbrush Park Saturday. Join ERBM Recreation and Park District for a fun-filled winter day at Paintbrush Park! • The Rio Blanco County Historical Society holds annual meeting. The Rio Blanco County Historical Society will hold its annual meeting on Sunday at the Old West Heritage Culture Center (565 Park Ave.) in Meeker. At 1 p.m. will be the luncheon. The RBCHS board of directors will provide soups and breads. Those attending may bring a salad or dessert. At 2 p.m. will be a review of 2015 in slides and committee reports, the election of new society officers and a new board member, followed by a “Look ahead to 2016.” The members and general public are invited.
• Meeker Foot Clinic on Wednesday. The Pioneers Hospital Home Health will be offering its monthly Foot Clinic on Wednesday at 1 p.m. at the Rio Blanco County Fairgrounds Exhibit Hall, 779 Sulphur Creek Rd. A certified nurse assistant will trim toenails, provide skin care and check blood pressures. Persons found to have circulatory or foot problems will be referred to a physician. • Please join Court Appointed Special Advocates in making a difference in the lives of abused and neglected children in our communities. CASA volunteers work with other stakeholders in the Dependency and Neglect Court System to advocate for the needs of children in court. CASA volunteers must be 18, submit to a thorough background check, be able to commit to 18 months as a volunteer, be computer literate and willing to complete a 30 hour training. • Tot Spot Drop-in Childcare. Monday-Thursday from 8 a.m.-1 p.m. at the Meeker Recreation Center. (Evening times on Monday and Wednesday as well.)
