MEEKER I The Meeker Chamber of Commerce is excited to announce Katelin Cook has accepted the position of executive director.
“Katelin brings many dimensions to the team,” said Margie Joy, president of the Meeker Chamber of Commerce. “She brings a strong business and finance background.”
Cook has a business administration degree, with a dual major in marketing. She worked at the Grand Junction Business Incubator and has assisted in organizing annual fundraisers for the March of Dimes.
Currently, Cook is a member of the Meeker Town Board of Trustees and a board member of the Meeker Classic.
Cook and her husband operate DC Outfitters. Additionally, Cook is an adjunct professor, teaching computer classes at the Meeker CNCC Campus. She has been an escrow officer at Rio Blanco County Abstract Company for the past four years.
One program area that Cook will be involved in is the Chamber’s expanding activities in the area of economic development. The Chamber is participating with the Town of Meeker, the Town of Rangely and Rio Blanco County in Governor Hickenlooper’s Bottom-Up Economic Development Plan.
“With Katelin’s broad and diverse experience she will bring a fresh perspective and insight to the organization,” Joy said. “We are thrilled!”
