The five cooks who competed against each other in this year’s Rangely Fourth of July Rib Cook-off said it wasn’t about winning; it was just about having good food. The cook-off started at 10 a.m. and, just after 5 p.m., the answer was known as to who made the best “good food.” First place again went to Crandal Mergelman, in second was Ryan Kennedy, third belonged to Ryan Huitt, fourth was John Fisher and in fifth was Shelby Hayes.
