RBC — The Rio Blanco County Board of Commissioners will appoint a Technical Advisory Group to assist the Planning Commission with the completion of the new County Master Plan.
The Technical Advisory Group (TAG) will be the sounding board for the consulting team and county staff during the development of the long range planning document. The TAG will meet periodically during the year to provide direction and feedback during the various stages of the project. For example, the results of the community survey, to be distributed early this year, will be evaluated by the TAG as well as the staff before presentation to the public.
The county will appoint four at-large community members to serve on the TAG. It is hoped that they will be joined by appointees from both towns, a county planning commissioner and a county commissioner to create a responsive and inclusive working group which represents diverse interests around the county.
Individuals interested in serving on the TAG should submit brief letters of interest to the Rio Blanco County Board of Commissioners, P.O. Box i, Meeker, CO, 81641, no later than Feb. 6. Letters may also be dropped off at 317 E. Market or e-mailed to [email protected].
Gas costs for at-large members who must travel from Rangely will be reimbursed. It is anticipated that the TAG’s work will be done by early 2010.
