MEEKER — The Meeker Peewee
wrestling team traveled to the Bad
Dogs tournament in Craig Saturday.
Seven Cowboys were crowned champion,
four were consolation champions
and four took home third place. All the
kids wrestled hard but met some tough
competition.
Champions were Tannen Kennedy,
Jacob Pelloni, Doak Mantle, Sheridan
Harvey, Casey Turner, Dillon Frantz
and Tristin Pelloni. Consolation
champs were Tevin Secrest-Pelloni,
Anthony Holland-Gonzalez, Hunter
Garcia and Kylloe Goedert. Bringing
home third place were Jesus Holland-
Gonzalez, James Amick, Cody Nielsen
and Edward Pursley. C.J. Wangnild,
Garrett Frantz, Kascia Cochran, Tristen
Tonozzi, Austin Russell, Anna Castle,
Elijah Newman, Daylon Nielson,
Logan Hughes, Brett McGruder,
Conner Pursley, Jake Smith, Joshua
Cochran, Jacob Nielsen, Tony Collins,
Asa Kelley, Aaron Cochran, Qynton
Larson, Austin Sanderson, Anthony
Kelley and Fabian Jones all wrestled
but did not place.
The Cowboys will take this weekend
off and then travel to the New
Castle Tournament at Coal Ridge High
School May 3. This tournament will
mark the end of the season for the
Cowboys. The end-of-season banquet
date will be announced
