Roughly 300 people attended the Rangely Area Chamber of Commerce’s annual Crab Crack on Saturday night on the Colorado Northwestern Community College campus, where the chamber also announced the community’s top businesses of the year.

The Rangely Area Chamber of Commerce presented three major awards on Saturday evening during the annual Crab Crack on the Colorado Northwest Community College campus. Emcee John Whipple, right, the outdoor leadership coordinator and challenge course manager at CNCC, presented the chamber’s Community Service Award to Beta Robertson.
Roughly 300 people had a great time Saturday evening at the annual Rangely Area Chamber of Commerce’s Crab Crack, where, for most, 600 to 700 pounds of king crab was foremost on everyone’s mind. However, emcee John Whipple, left, the outdoor leadership coordinator and challenge course manager at Colorado Northwestern Community College, took the minds of Steve, center, and Elaine Urie, right, off of food long enough to present them with the chamber’s Rangely Industrial Business of the Year Award.
