Mr. Jack Frost paid his last visit to Meeker Tuesday night. Sure!
– Among the Limekiln hill settlers in during the week were Lon Moyer and George Cose. The progressive people up on the hill are getting ready to double their forming operations, coming season.
– Walter Oldland, the young Piceance cattle baron, paid his respects to the old folks and town friends, fore part of the week.
– Among the lower country people in during the week was Charles H. Mobley—attending to land office business.
– Tom Kilduff, looking well and hearty, was exchanging greetings with town friends yesterday.
– The sinking of the Lusitania and now the Laconia, marks the passing of Germany and its inhuman killing of innocents. Sooner or later the Kaiser and his government will pay the price for their actions against the law of nations and humanity. We do not believe that the German people as a whole uphold such a policy as the German government now pursues.

– Dr. and Mrs. Willis Scott, owners of the Rio theatre, are asking for the return of their 40”x60” poster displays which have been removed in front of the Meeker hotel and the entrance to the theatre.
– Four Meeker men left from the Meeker Airport Friday with a stopover in Flagstaff, Ariz., to pick up a fifth man before continuing on to Manzanillo, Mexico, on a 10-day vacation. The 6-place place, pioted by Gary Coulter, included Bob Howey, Chesty Richardson and Johnnie Si Johnson, and Bob Barker.

– It appears the North Park Sled Dog Triathlon may become the White River Sled Dog Triathlon in the future.
– Meeker’s bowhunters finished high in the ranking last weekend at the National Field Archery Association’s Southwestern Indoor Sectional Tournament held at Delta.

– Winning blue ribbons in the senior division at the Rangely Science Fair were Carol Pilcher, Troya Pollard, Debbie Dixon, Diane Hamilton, Jeff Courtier, Eugene Goudeau, Janet Clark and Marcia Christensen.
– Guest editorial by Chris Holloway, economist at Rangely College: Can a small community such as Rangely be compared economically to an infant nation which, because it finds itself surrounded by large and better equipped neighboring national states—possessed of enormous, well developed resources—has great difficulty in experiencing economic growth?
– Miss Sharon Hutton, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Howard Hutton, was selected as an all-tournament cheerleader at the 1967 NW District tourney at Steamboat Springs Saturday.
