Panther junior Kody Denny pitched a no-hitter against Hayden last week, as his team defeated the Tigers 25-1.

The Panthers have played seven games so far this season and currently have a 2-5 record.
“We have been playing all bigger schools in tournaments and trying to play a real competitive schedule this year,” head coach Paul Fortunado said. I think our record doesn’t really show how good we really are.”
The Panther team features six seniors and Fortunado said senior Kacey Denny went three-for-three against Hayden, including two doubles and a triple. Other seniors are: Caleb Templeton, Daniel Garcia, Chad Peterson, Landon Mecham and Brian Rector.
Fotunado’s dad George, Wes Torsell, Gary Denny and Joey Medina are assisting with the coaching duties this season.
Rangely’s JV team will play in Meeker Friday at 11 a.m., and the varsity will host Paonia Saturday in a double header.
“I feel like, if the guys continue to work hard, we will have a chance at another league title,” Fortunado said. “I guess only time will tell.”
