MEEKER I The annual Main Street Madness 3-on-3 basketball tournament featured nine teams and produced champions in three divisions.
“The tournament ran very well,” ERBM Recreation and Parks District coordinator Nicole Dupire said. “All the teams played hard and had fun.”
Two teams competed in the junior high boys’ division and two teams were in the high school boys’ division, where they played the best out of three games to determine a winner.
The Dream Team, consisting of Gavyn Garr, Pake and Kale Burke won the junior high division and Team Oelsner won the high school bracket. Jake Borchard, Nick and Alex Oelsner made up the winning high school team, winning two of three games.
The competition came in the adult male division, which featured five teams playing in a double-elimination bracket. In the end, it was the Disciples, consisting of Aaron Campbell, Fernando Olivas, Fin Eifert and Dawon Triplett, who won all three of their games to earn the bragging rights.
