This display, laid out on the grass at the Rio Blanco County Courthouse in Meeker, points out that April is National Child Abuse Prevention Month and that we all need to be watchful of the children we observe. Child abuse can be physical, sexual, emotional and mental. Abuse and neglect, and their effects, can be passed from generation to generation because abused children come to believe that abuse is the normal lifestyle for other kids.
