Williams recently separated into two stand-alone, publicly-traded corporations, Williams and WPX Energy. Representatives from both were in Meeker to donate $15,000 towards the purchase of a second quick-response vehicle for the Piceance Creek area. Kevin McDermott with WPX Energy presented the check to Dr. Albert Krueger, chief of staff at Pioneers Medical Center and and one of the coordinators for medical and emergency services in the Piceance Creek basin. T.J. Oden (far right) of Williams was also pictured with Meeker Volunteer Fire and Rescue board members Bud Miles (far left) and Bill Smith. Employees of several energy companies in the Piceance Creek area are being trained as first responders by Dr. Krueger and his staff.
