The Rangely National Junior Honor Society presented a $250 check to the Rangely Animal Shelter Tuesday, April 17. This is an annual donation that NJHS has made for the last four years. NJHS sponsors a coin drive competition between the sixth, seventh and eighth graders. Students donated coins that added to their total and dollars that subtracted from their total. According to animal shelter director Vicky Pfennig, the money donated will help the shelter pay to get the animals neutered and spayed, to purchase medical expenses, advertisements in the paper and ID chips.
