RANGELY — The Rangely Panther Invitational was held at Cedar Ridges Sept. 17 with the home team hosting eight teams for a day of tournament golf.
The team championship was won by the Meeker Cowboys lead by Garrett Griffin with a second place finish, and Trey Morris who took third place honors.
The first place finisher was Ted Olson from Durango, Colo., who had a low score of 80. Garrett Griffin and Trey Morris tied with a score of 81, and had a very exciting playoff with Griffin winning on the fourth hole of sudden death.
The Rangely players were led by Kacey Denney with a score of 106 followed by Eric Sisneros with a 111.
Following the Rangely tournament, the Rangely golfers traveled to New Castle and played Lakota Canyon for the last tournament of the year. Kacey Denney edged out Eric Sisneros by shooting a 116 to Sisneros’ 117.
We are proud of the Rangely golfers as their hard work has paid off with the improvement in their scores.
