RANGELY — Eleven teams competed last Saturday on a perfect golf day in a four-person scramble.
First place honors went to the team made up of Robby and Ryan Elam, Brandon Halcomb and Casey Ducey, who grossed a lucky 13-under par total 59.
According to Ducey, everyone contributed. Robby had a birdie putt on nine and made it. And Ryan made a good long put on seven.
“I didn’t really care so long as I got ten bucks out of Bernie,” Ryan Elam commented on a side bet between them and the team that ended up taking second place.
The second place gross team, made up of Steve Hejl and sons Chris and Eric, along with Bernie Shafer, were only one stroke behind with a 60. The team finished 7-under after its first nine holes.
The first net finishers were Brandon Colborn, Jeff Lebleu and Paul and Kim Tucker who actually grossed a 68.
And finally, the second net finishers were Jason and Dustin Cox, Mark Williams and Jim Kloepfer, who totaled a 71 gross.
