RBC I The Colorado Rural Development Council will host the 2014 Rural Colorado Entrepreneurship MarketPlace at Moffat County High School on June 13. The event provides resources and technical assistance to small rural businesses or those who would like to start their own business.
Internationally known speaker and small business expert Jon Schallert will be presenting two keynote speeches at the event.
Participants are able to attend information sessions in business development, financing, marketing, technology, community development and business in agriculture.
The MarketPlace assists in growing rural Colorado’s economy from within through this annual entrepreneurial event. Since the first MarketPlace was held in 2009 more than 1,500 have attended. The event promotes entrepreneurial growth throughout all of rural Colorado, including Rio Blanco County. It has resulted in increased entrepreneurial activity, job growth and community growth. This year the event is sponsored in part by the Craig/Moffat Economic Development Partnership and the Craig Chamber of Commerce.
The cost of the event is $35 and includes lunch and an invitation to the Welcome Reception on June 12.
