RANGELY — A 50-year-old Jacksonville, Fla., man, Timothy Dorsey, was killed Saturday night in a single-vehicle rollover crash on Highway 64 in rural Rio Blanco County.
A 47-year-old woman from Rangely, who was not identified, was driving the vehicle, a 2006 Ford F150 pickup.
The truck rolled twice before coming to rest on its wheels, according to a report from the Colorado State Patrol, which investigated. During the rollover, both the driver and the passenger were ejected. Neither person was wearing a seat belt.
“The driver traveled off the right side of the road, steered the truck back to the left, crossed the roadway, and traveled off the left side of the road and up a steep embankment,” according to the Colorado State Patrol report. “The truck traveled down the same embankment and collided its front end with the embankment. The truck then began to rotate clockwise while rolling side over side.”
